Welcome to the Craft in Cumbria web page.

I set it up because I wanted to provide an interchange for people involved in crafts in and around Cumbria. My wife and I have been attneding craft fairs and similar sales as vendors for a few years now and prefer to keep with a short travelling distance of our home in Milnthorpe.

At fairs, we often discuss the local craft scene, trends and sales opportunities that exist in the local area. I felt that it would be usefull to continue these discussions on a web based forum.

Within the next year, I hope to set up and run at least one craft fair or similar in my local area and would like to provide the opportunity for others to promote their events through this site.

There are no hard and fast rules as to what this site is about except that if I don't like something, it's out. So basically, be polite, keep it legal decent and honest and if possible relevant.
